It’s raining?!…S**t!!! That’s how we reacted after waking up and saw that the weather decided to gave out a little more than just a blessing for our vacation. As if it’s not enough, PAGASA announced that there is a low pressure area forming near the Philippines. Determined to spend the last stint of our vacation in Boracay, we continue on with our journey in high spirit.
Six and a half hours. That’s how long our travel from Iloilo to Boracay. We arrived at the bus terminal in Iloilo at exactly 7am and from there we took a joy ride (you could say that) and passed by the province of Roxas and Aklan. It is a joy ride indeed coz we got to see a lot of province and at one point, I imagined “Aswangs” and “Manananggal” lurking in the province of Kalibo when we passed by,
and of course we were able to eat a bunch of street food or shall I say bus food along the way, and I’d say that my personal fave would be the mini Buko Pie.
After 3 Bus stops and a gazillion of different sitting positions, we reached the beautiful town of Caticlan. From there we took a 10 minute pump boat ride headed to Boracay. I can’t contain my excitement when I saw the beach of Bora. Suddenly, alot of good memories rushed back in to the point that I almost texted my college friends whom I’m with when my first time in Bora.

Originally, we have a reservation but because of the unexpected travel hours and consideriing that we don’t have any cp network coverage most of the travel time, we failed to communicate with the person who arranged our reservation, and coz of that, she acted so unprofessional that we decided to just look for another place. Fortunately, we were able to get a very nice place in the Beach front of Station 1. The La Fiesta Resort.
We were able to get our room for 500 pesos a night per person. Not bad for an airconditioned room, with 2 big beds, 1 small bed, a cable tv, a fridge and a hot&cold shower. By the way, you can also cook your food if you have any.The first thing that we did in Boracay aside form eating our lunch is survey the Island. Surprisingly, the weather is perfect in Boracay. The sun is not really up and it’s not raining either and so it’s not so excruciating to walk along the beach to take our pictures. And Lord, we really did took our time to take pictures.
That is just actually a micro-mini-small portion of the 500+ pictures that I had for Bora. After the 2 hour photoshoot, we went to Jonah’s Fruitshake and Restaurant. It has been hailed as the maker of the best fruitshake which can only be found in Bora, and heaven, their fruitshake is sooo good that it will be a sin not to taste it if you are in the island. For 75-90 pesos, you will already experience the tropical fruitshakes at their finest and I’d personally recommend for you to order those with rhums. It will give you a whole different experience.
We spent the rest of the day taking pictures with all the different castles that can be found in the island. We also had our henna session with two first-timers. Of course, our day will not be complete if our skin will not be touched by the sea and so we jumped in and had our night swimming. The water is so warm that we were able to last for almost an hour before we decided to call it a day.

We almost forgot our names coz of the tasty chicken but we remembered that it’s Raj’s birthday so we bought a Red Ribbon Tiramisu Cake and had a celebration along with Ate Tess, Manang Buds and his pamangkin at home and ate our dinner cooked by manang Buds. Nawala ang pagod namin at nagising kami sa sarap ng Molo soup ni Manang Buds. Wah! Miss ko na! Argh!
